Charlie Wright, Ltd. is a family owned business that was founded by Charlie Wright in 1948. He began his wig-making career in 1922 as an apprentice wig maker and later worked as supervisor for the wig department at Max Factor. In the early 40's he became head of the wig department at MGM Studios and later went to Warner Brothers before starting Charlie Wright, Ltd. His daughter, Charlotte, worked with her father for many years, learning the fine art of wig making. Fifty years after Charlie Wright started the business, Charlotte Wright Liles and Betty Trusel still manage the business by assisting customers in both the entertainment industry and the private sector. Some customers have been doing business with us for over forty years. Our work has been seen many times on the silver screen (but not noticed, of course!). At Charlie Wright, Ltd. we are dedicated to helping people look their best at a reasonable cost.
